Mintu Kr. Deka has taken on the role of Assistant Manager – Information & Technology at Novotel Guwahati GS Road. The hotel welcomed him as a key addition to its leadership team focused on enhancing digital operations and guest experience.
Deka joins the property with experience from The Leela Gandhinagar, where he served as IT executive. In that capacity he managed critical technology infrastructure, maintained data integrity, and oversaw large-scale systems integration across the hotel.
In his new position Deka will head the information and technology function, charged with advancing digital efficiency and innovation. His responsibilities include implementing cutting-edge guest-facing platforms, strengthening data security protocols, and ensuring seamless internal systems performance.
General Manager Manmeet Singh praised the appointment, saying, “Technology is at the heart of modern hospitality, and we are thrilled to have Mintu on board. His knowledge and proactive approach will play a key role in enhancing our digital ecosystem and delivering seamless experiences for our guests and team alike.”
Deka will collaborate across departments—including front desk, food and beverage, sales and marketing, and rooms operations—to ensure that digital tools enable smooth workflows and elevated service delivery. Meeting internal and external operational needs through tech-led solutions is a core part of his mandate.
Novotel Guwahati GS Road is part of the Accor midscale Novotel brand and is located in the city’s commercial district. The hotel offers extensive facilities and serves both business and leisure clientele.
Deka’s appointment aligns with broader industry trends that value IT leadership in shaping guest journeys and streamlining operations. In recent months Novotel Guwahati has expanded its event infrastructure with new banquet spaces and dining venues, and introduced electric vehicles as part of sustainability efforts.
This leadership move highlights Novotel Guwahati’s commitment to innovation in both hospitality and digital infrastructure. By appointing Deka to lead its IT function, the hotel underscores its priority to deliver technology-enabled guest satisfaction and maintain a competitive edge in Assam’s hospitality sector.
