Minor Hotels has announced the global launch of The Wolseley Hotels, a new luxury hospitality brand inspired by the heritage and culinary legacy of the iconic The Wolseley restaurant in London. The first hotel under the brand, The Wolseley Hotel New York, is scheduled to open in early 2027, marking the brand’s debut in the global luxury hotel market.
Flagship property planned in Midtown Manhattan
The inaugural property will be located steps from Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan, positioning New York as the flagship destination for the newly launched brand.
The hotel will occupy the historic building at 130 West 44th Street, originally constructed in 1905 as the clubhouse for The Lambs Club and designed by the renowned architectural firm McKim, Mead & White.
The address has long been associated with Broadway’s creative community and New York’s cultural elite, reflecting the city’s deep theatrical and artistic heritage.

76-room luxury hotel with signature dining concept
The Wolseley Hotel New York will feature 76 guest rooms and suites, designed to combine classical elegance with modern simplicity. The design concept will incorporate refined interiors, carefully planned layouts and bespoke craftsmanship aligned with the brand’s identity.
At the centre of the property will be The Wolseley New York restaurant, the brand’s first location in the United States. The restaurant will carry forward the grand café tradition associated with The Wolseley Piccadilly in London, offering all-day dining, signature cocktails and a refined social atmosphere.
Dining and wellness facilities
In addition to the restaurant, the hotel will feature a cellar-level speakeasy-style bar, designed to provide a more intimate and atmospheric setting.
Guests will also have access to a redesigned wellness and wellbeing centre, reflecting the brand’s focus on guest comfort and holistic hospitality experiences.
