Machan Resorts LLP has announced the signing of a new premium eco-wellness resort under its Myst by Machan brand in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, formerly known as Aurangabad. The property, expected to open in 2028, will be the hospitality group’s third in Maharashtra, following its locations in Lonavala and Karjat.
Spread across 15 acres of forested land, the resort will offer panoramic views of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ellora Caves. The resort will feature elevated forest rooms, private villas, and waterfront cottages. Additional facilities will include a wellness center, organic farm-to-table dining, and spaces designed for weddings, corporate retreats, spiritual gatherings, and cultural events.
Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar provides the perfect landscape for our eco-wellness concept under Myst by Machan. With this signing, we further our mission to integrate sustainability with India’s rich ecological and cultural tapestry. – Rakshit Sharma, Chief Operating Officer, Machan Resorts LLP
The new project is strategically situated along the Samruddhi Mahamarg, improving connectivity to nearby destinations such as Shirdi, Ajanta, and Verul. According to the company, this location is ideal for blending heritage, spirituality, and nature into a single immersive guest experience.
Machan Resorts LLP has built a reputation for sustainable luxury in India’s hospitality sector. Its flagship property, The Machan in Lonavala, is known for its signature treehouse accommodations in private forest settings. The company also operates Legacy Mandawa in Rajasthan, a restored royal haveli.
In addition to the new property in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, the group plans to open resorts in Mulshi, Pawana, Udaipur, and Jaisalmer, further expanding its portfolio of eco-conscious retreats across India.
