India Positioned as Strategic Growth Market for Kerten Hospitality
India has been identified as a priority market for Kerten Hospitality, supported by strong tourism fundamentals and growing demand for experience-led hospitality. The group’s entry comes at a time when lifestyle-focused travel demand is gaining momentum across the country.
The Indian hospitality market is projected to reach USD 55.67 billion by 2031, growing at a CAGR of 14.76 percent, positioning it as a key opportunity for international operators.
Recent Performance Supports Expansion Strategy
The announcement follows a strong performance year for Kerten Hospitality. The group reported a 55 percent increase in operating revenues, a 69 percent growth in gross operating profit, and a 44 percent rise in management fees in 2025.
This growth has been driven by geographic expansion, structured development, and increasing demand from asset owners for its hospitality platform.
In January 2026 alone, the group signed 1,000 new keys across markets in the Middle East, Africa, and other high-growth regions.

The company has also established a dedicated India office and is engaging with asset owners across key destinations.
Business Model Focuses on Local Identity and Owner Collaboration
Kerten Hospitality’s model combines localised design and cultural relevance with global operational systems. The company follows an owner-first approach, allowing asset owners flexibility in adapting brand guidelines while leveraging the group’s operational, recruitment, and marketing capabilities.
This approach is designed to balance standardisation with localisation across markets.
Leadership Highlights India Opportunity and Market Fit
“It’s well known that India is one of the most dynamic travel markets in the world, with robust tourism fundamentals and an increasing appetite for lifestyle-driven hospitality experiences. As travellers increasingly seek destinations that combine culture, design and community, we see significant potential for innovative hospitality concepts that reflect the spirit and diversity of the country.
“At Kerten Hospitality, our business model is based on developing destinations that go beyond the realm of traditional hospitality, bringing together culture, creativity and meaningful guest experiences. We are already seeing a strong demand from developers and owners and will soon be able to cater to the vast diaspora of Indian consumers with Kerten-managed properties across the country,”
