ITC Hotels Limited has signed an agreement to launch its second Fortune Select hotel in Lucknow, marking the company’s seventh property in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The move is part of ITC’s ongoing expansion drive in India’s top-tier and emerging hospitality markets.
Situated along the Lucknow–Kanpur Road, the upcoming property is poised to benefit from proximity to both cities and improved infrastructure. The signing reflects growing demand for premium accommodation fueled by corporate visits, pilgrimage tourism, MICE events and destination weddings.
Fortune Select Lucknow will feature 93 well-appointed rooms and suites alongside multiple dining options, including a multi‑cuisine restaurant, rooftop outlet with city views, and a stylish bar. Guests can also access banquet spaces, a gym, spa, and swimming pool—positioning the development as an all‑purpose hospitality destination.
Lucknow is a city that beautifully blends tradition with modernity. Its infrastructural growth, flourishing corporate sector, and cultural richness make it a very significant market for Fortune Hotels. I am sure it will emerge as a big asset to the state, which is experiencing high growth in domestic tourism. – Anil Chadha, Managing Director of ITC Hotels Limited
From acquiring land for developing hotels and banquets to creating memorable hospitality facilities, we keep a keen eye on the region for such ventures. Fortune Select Lucknow is one of our very important projects. Lucknow’s growth as a potential business and cultural hub has inspired our investment decision. Collaborating with Fortune Hotels was a natural choice given the brand’s strong positioning, operational excellence, and deep understanding of Indian travellers. – Indermohan Singh, Chairman of CEM Hospitality, India-based developer for the project
With the Lucknow property, ITC Hotels now operates seven properties in Uttar Pradesh, including city and pilgrimage locations such as Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Noida, and Ayodhya. Six additional properties are currently under development across the state.
The signing signifies ITC’s intent to extend branded hospitality beyond metro centres into high-potential regional cities. The asset-light growth model enables ITC Hotels to forge local partnerships while delivering consistent service standards and brand value. This initiative aligns with the company’s goal of delivering quality hospitality experiences at scale.
Fortune Hotels—ITC’s midscale business and leisure brand—now comprises multiple sub-brands, including Fortune Select, Fortune Park, and Fortune Inn. The addition of the new Lucknow property reinforces the brand’s strategy of combining value-led hospitality with wide geographic coverage.
