Isai Karai Mahabalipuram Positioned Along Bay of Bengal Shoreline
Isai Karai, which translates to ‘musical shore’, is located approximately 50 metres from the coastline in Mahabalipuram. The property is set within a green landscape and overlooks the Bay of Bengal, offering a setting defined by proximity to the sea and surrounding vegetation.

Isai Karai Designed as Intimate Coastal Stay with Five Rooms
The property comprises five rooms arranged across a three-bedroom main residence and a separate two-bedroom unit. This configuration allows the property to cater to both individual travellers and small groups.
The rooms are designed with references to local flora and include ensuite bathrooms that incorporate natural light and greenery. Outdoor elements such as stone pathways, shaded courtyards, and fruit-bearing trees including papaya, mango, and star fruit contribute to the overall setting.

The interiors of Isai Karai draw from Mahabalipuram’s artistic and cultural background. The design incorporates colour, curated artwork, and locally sourced materials.
The dining offering includes Tamil coastal cuisine along with customised meal options. Fresh seafood forms a key part of the menu, with outdoor dining experiences such as poolside barbecues included in the guest offering.
Mahabalipuram Experiences Extend Beyond the Property
Guests at Isai Karai have access to experiences across Mahabalipuram, including visits to the Shore Temple, Mahabalipuram Lighthouse, and the India Seashell Museum. The destination is also known for its sculpture schools, where traditional stone carving continues to be practised.
