IHG® Hotels & Resorts, one of the most prominent global hotel companies, has officially announced the appointment of Jaideep Dang as Head of Development, South West Asia. In this pivotal role, Jaideep will focus on spearheading IHG’s growth strategy across the region and will directly report to Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts.
Bringing with him over 22 years of comprehensive and varied experience within the hospitality and real estate sectors, Jaideep has consistently demonstrated a proven ability to deliver exceptional results across multiple markets. He moves to IHG from JLL India, where he served as Managing Director – Hotels & Hospitality Group.

In this capacity, he successfully directed the advisory and transactions division for India and South Asia. Under his leadership, the division not only achieved a market-leading position in hotel investment sales but also developed a highly skilled, top-performing team renowned for providing superior advisory services on hotel project feasibilities, valuations, management contracts, and development strategies. Before his tenure at JLL, Jaideep was with The Oberoi Group for eight years, holding the position of Senior Vice President, Strategic Development.
India continues to be a high-priority growth market for IHG. Earlier this year, the company celebrated a significant milestone by opening its 50th hotel in the country. Moving forward, IHG aims to further strengthen its footprint with an impressive pipeline of more than 70 upcoming hotels across the luxury, premium, and mainstream segments in cities with strong potential. With its ambition to operate 100 hotels within the next three to five years, the company remains deeply dedicated to expanding strategically across both established and emerging markets.

Jaideep holds a degree in Architecture from New Delhi and has completed leadership certification programs at both the MIT Sloan School of Management and IIM Bangalore. In addition, he actively contributes as a member of the National Committee on Tourism with CII and is a regular participant and speaker at leading forums within the hospitality sector.
At present, IHG® operates 51 hotels across six different brands in India. These include Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts®, Crowne Plaza®, voco™ Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort®, and Holiday Inn Express®. Moreover, the company has a strong development pipeline comprising 72 hotels, which are slated to open over the next three to five years, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to growth in the region.
