Shangri-La Dubai has appointed Denis Glibic as Director of Sales and Marketing. The appointment strengthens the hotel’s commercial leadership as it continues to focus on market relevance, brand visibility and sustained revenue performance in a competitive hospitality landscape.
Global Experience Across Key Markets
Glibic brings more than 15 years of hospitality experience across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. His career spans commercial strategy, brand positioning and hotel openings, with a strong focus on driving performance across varied market conditions. His exposure to diverse regions has shaped a balanced approach to sales leadership and long-term brand growth.

Background in Hotel Openings and Brand Building
Prior to joining Shangri-La Dubai, Glibic served as Director of Sales and Marketing at Hyatt Regency Nairobi Westlands. In that role, he played an active part in launching the hotel and establishing its positioning in the upper upscale segment. His responsibilities included building market presence, developing sales strategies and supporting the property’s entry into a competitive environment.
Earlier in his career, Glibic held senior roles with Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Jumeirah Group and Radisson Hotel Group. Across these assignments, he worked on revenue growth initiatives, market share expansion and commercial planning in multiple regions, gaining experience across both city and resort markets.

Shangri-La Dubai is located on Sheikh Zayed Road and offers views of Downtown Dubai and the Burj Khalifa. The hotel has built recognition through curated campaigns and collaborations, including initiatives such as Taste of Shangri-La and the 8-Hands Dinner, which have featured international chefs and positioned the property as a dining and lifestyle destination within the city.

In his new role, Glibic will lead Shangri-La Dubai’s overall commercial strategy. His responsibilities include overseeing sales and marketing functions, strengthening market positioning, driving revenue generation and supporting enhancements to the guest experience. His appointment aligns with the hotel’s focus on maintaining relevance in key source markets while responding to evolving guest expectations.
