Raffles Hotel Le Royal has announced the appointment of David Eldridge as its new Executive Chef. The appointment marks a significant step in reinforcing the hotel’s culinary vision as it continues to position itself as one of Southeast Asia’s most distinguished dining destinations.
Chef David brings with him more than two decades of international luxury hospitality experience, having worked across eight countries including the Maldives, Thailand, Vietnam, Tanzania, the UAE, Qatar, Seychelles, and his native South Africa. His global exposure and depth of leadership are expected to play a key role in shaping the next phase of the hotel’s food and beverage journey.

Chef David’s career reflects extensive experience within the upper echelons of luxury hospitality. Prior to joining Raffles Hotel Le Royal, he served at Anantara Chiang Mai Resort as Director of Food, Beverage & Culinary, where he oversaw multiple dining concepts and led integrated culinary operations.
His professional journey also includes senior leadership roles with globally recognised hospitality brands such as Four Seasons, Kempinski Hotels, and The Luxury Collection under Marriott. Across these roles, he has been closely involved in driving culinary standards, mentoring large kitchen teams, and developing dining experiences that balance local context with international technique.
