Crimson Hotels India has ended its managerial and operational association with The Aaureum Resort & International Convention Centre, Bhilwara, effective Sept. 7, 2026, bringing its management tenure at the property to a close.

Crimson’s entry into Bhilwara was driven by its assessment that the Rajasthan destination had significant hospitality potential but lacked the infrastructure needed to support a large-format destination proposition. The company looked beyond the state’s established Jaipur and Udaipur hospitality circuit to develop a property designed around accommodation, conventions, events, dining and leisure.

Crimson identified opportunity beyond Rajasthan’s established circuit

Rajasthan’s destination-led hospitality market has traditionally been associated strongly with cities such as Jaipur and Udaipur. Crimson instead identified Bhilwara as a market with the fundamentals to support a larger hospitality proposition.

The company’s approach was centred on developing infrastructure around the requirements of an emerging market rather than replicating the established royal-oriented hospitality model found elsewhere in the state.

That strategy resulted in The Aaureum Resort & International Convention Centre, conceived as a destination capable of serving both local and regional demand across multiple hospitality segments.

    Aaureum developed around large-format demand

The property brought together accommodation, convention facilities, expansive event spaces, dining and leisure infrastructure. The proposition was intended to address a gap in Bhilwara’s hospitality market by creating a venue capable of handling large celebrations, business gatherings, MICE programmes and personalised retreats.

The combination of accommodation and event infrastructure also positioned the resort beyond the conventional role of a hotel, with the property designed to function as a destination for different types of gatherings.

Management association focused on building the market

Crimson’s involvement extended beyond day-to-day hotel operations, according to the company. Its association with the resort was positioned as an exercise in identifying the destination’s potential early and developing hospitality infrastructure around the market’s anticipated requirements.

Over the course of its association with The Aaureum, Crimson worked to establish a new hospitality proposition for Bhilwara and contribute to the development of the destination’s broader hospitality ecosystem.

The company believes the property helped broaden perceptions of Bhilwara, a city primarily recognised for its industrial and business significance, by demonstrating its potential to attract wider hospitality demand.

    Crimson ends operational association

Commenting on the development, Sandeep Maitraya, Founder & Director, Crimson Hotels India, said,

“When we entered Bhilwara, we saw a destination with strong fundamentals and significant headroom for growth. We believed that the right hospitality infrastructure could unlock that potential and Aaureum was created around that vision. We are proud of what we have built and of the role it has played in shaping Bhilwara’s hospitality proposition. As we move into the next phase, our focus remains firmly on the opportunities ahead in Bhilwara and the wider Mewar region.”

The management and operational association formally ended on Sept. 7, 2026. The company’s departure from the management arrangement does not signal an exit from Bhilwara, with Crimson stating that it continues to maintain an active presence in the city.

    Further developments planned across Mewar

Crimson Hotels India said further hospitality developments are planned across Bhilwara and the wider Mewar region. The company’s continued activity in the market indicates that its interest in the destination extends beyond its former association with The Aaureum.

The development also marks a shift in the company’s relationship with a property that was conceived around the potential for Bhilwara to emerge as a broader hospitality destination. While Crimson’s management role has concluded, the company continues to see opportunities in the region and plans to pursue further hospitality developments.
