Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Hishan Singhawansa as its new Chief Executive Officer, bringing nearly two decades of industry leadership to the role. With over 17 years of experience at John Keells Group (JKH), Singhawansa steps into this position as Sri Lanka is seeing a more than 30% increase in arrivals from India in the first half of 2025.
In assuming this role, he aims to deepen the connections between Sri Lanka and key Indian markets, leveraging Cinnamon Hotels to offer luxury, lifestyle, and authentic experiences that meaningfully engage travelers from India’s leisure, MICE, and wedding segments.
