The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi has appointed Chef Ankit Malhotra as its new Executive Chef. With more than 15 years of experience across leading luxury hotel brands in India and overseas, he steps into the role after serving as Executive Sous Chef at the property.
Career Journey Across Iconic Brands
Chef Malhotra has been a key contributor to the hotel’s culinary direction since joining the team. His responsibilities have included developing menus, ensuring quality consistency, and guiding kitchen teams across multiple dining operations. His culinary journey began at The Imperial, New Delhi, followed by impactful roles at The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore; Taj West End Bengaluru; JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar; Conrad Pune; and Radisson Blu Hotel, London Bloomsbury. His experience across these hotels showcases his command over diverse cuisines and his ability to lead both high-volume and speciality kitchen environments effectively.

Role and Responsibilities in His New Position
In his new role, Chef Malhotra will direct the culinary strategy for the hotel. He will oversee speciality restaurants, banqueting operations, and wellness-focused culinary programmes that remain central to the Westin brand’s philosophy. His portfolio will also include menu innovation, collaboration between culinary and service teams, and driving consistency across all dining and banquet touchpoints.
