Appu Hotels Ltd. has entered a 20-year agreement with Marriott International for Le Royal Méridien Chennai and Le Méridien Coimbatore. The renewed partnership signals continued investment in both properties and reinforces Marriott’s steady presence in Tamil Nadu’s premium hospitality market.
The agreement was formalised by Mr. Avneet Singh Bhutani, Vice President – Asset Management, AP & EC, Marriott International, and Dr. Palani G. Periasamy, Chairman of Appu Hotels Ltd. The signing took place at Le Royal Méridien Chennai, followed by media interaction and a ceremonial toast to mark the next phase of the partnership.

Under the renewed agreement, the hotel enters a structured upgrade phase with planned enhancements across guest rooms, public areas, banquet spaces, and service delivery systems to align with Marriott’s latest global standards.
Le Méridien Coimbatore Continues as a Premium Five-Star Property
Le Méridien Coimbatore, located in Neelambur, offers 254 rooms and suites, contemporary interiors, varied dining options, a spa, an outdoor pool, a fitness centre, and event spaces. The hotel already aligns with Marriott’s updated benchmarks and remains a preferred choice near the airport and surrounding business districts. The agreement ensures continued operational stability and consistent service quality.
