Meliá Pattaya Hotel has appointed Alexander Lopez as General Manager, bringing on board a hospitality leader with extensive international experience across Europe and Asia.
Located in the heart of Pattaya, the 234-room hotel continues to strengthen its leadership team as it builds on its growth following its opening in February 2025.

Alexander Lopez joins Meliá Pattaya Hotel after serving as General Manager of W Koh Samui for more than two years. Prior to that, he held the position of Interim General Manager at W Maldives, having earlier joined the resort as Resort Manager.
A hospitality professional of Swedish and Spanish heritage, Lopez began his career after studying Hotel and Hospitality Management at Les Roches International School of Hotel Management.
His hospitality journey started at Sheraton Stockholm Hotel in Sweden in 2009 before progressing into senior leadership roles across Spain, Switzerland, China, the Maldives, and Thailand.
More Than a Decade in Thailand
Lopez brings over ten years of hospitality leadership experience in Thailand. His career in the country includes senior management positions at W Koh Samui, Vana Belle, a Luxury Collection Resort, Koh Samui, and The Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa Phuket.
He has also contributed to the broader hospitality industry as a member of the W Hotels Global Brand GM Advisory Board and the Marriott International Rooms Advisory Board APEC.
Leading the Next Phase of Growth
As General Manager, Alexander Lopez will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, guest experience, commercial performance, and team development at Meliá Pattaya Hotel.
