ITC Hotels has appointed Akshay Kavra as the new general manager of ITC Narmada, Ahmedabad. A seasoned professional with nearly two decades of experience in the hospitality sector, Kavra will now oversee operations at one of Gujarat’s most prominent luxury hotels.
Kavra’s journey in hospitality began with a degree from the Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA), Manipal. Following his graduation, he was selected for the Management Trainee Programme at the Hotel Management Institute (HMI), formerly known as WMI. This program served as his entry point into ITC Hotels, marking the start of a long-standing and successful association with the brand.
Over the years, Kavra has held leadership roles at several iconic ITC properties across India, including ITC Grand Chola in Chennai, ITC Sonar in Kolkata, ITC Mughal in Agra, Sheraton New Delhi, and the flagship ITC Maurya in New Delhi. At each of these hotels, he played a key role in enhancing service standards, building high-performance teams, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
In his new role at ITC Narmada, Kavra will be responsible for managing the hotel’s overall operations, ensuring service excellence, and driving business growth in the competitive Ahmedabad hospitality market.
