MAYFAIR Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Akhil Tanwar as Deputy General Manager – Sales & Marketing at the MAYFAIR Regional Office North, Delhi, reinforcing the group’s focus on strategic growth, revenue expansion and market-led sales leadership across North India.
Two decades of hospitality sales expertise
With over 22 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Akhil Tanwar brings extensive expertise in sales strategy, corporate partnerships, MICE business and destination-led hospitality development. His career spans leadership roles with several well-established hospitality brands, including Clarion, InterContinental Hotels Group, Jaypee Hotels, Radisson Hotel Group, and IHCL (Taj Hotels).

Prior leadership roles and market exposure
Before joining MAYFAIR Hotels & Resorts, Tanwar was associated with Novotel Jaipur Convention Centre and Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre, where he served as Associate Director of Sales. In this role, he was actively involved in driving large-format convention business, strengthening institutional partnerships and expanding the property’s presence across domestic and international markets.
Role and responsibilities at MAYFAIR
In his new role, Akhil Tanwar will be responsible for overseeing sales and marketing strategy for the North region, with a focus on strengthening corporate relationships, driving MICE and leisure demand, and supporting the brand’s broader expansion objectives. His appointment aligns with MAYFAIR’s emphasis on experienced leadership to deepen market penetration and sustain long-term growth.
