Holiday Inn Chennai OMR IT Expressway has announced the appointment of Abdul Hameed as its new Director of Finance & Business Support.

Bringing over 23 years of rich experience in the hospitality industry, Abdul Hameed is known for his sharp financial acumen and hands-on leadership. His career spans across several renowned hotel brands including Le Royal Meridien, Chennai; Best Western Pleasant Days Hotel, Chennai; Qatar National Hotels Company, Qatar; Courtyard by Marriott, Chennai; Safir International Hotel, Kuwait; Renaissance Kota Bharu, Malaysia; Mokan Hotels Company, Bahrain; Emaar Economy City Hotels, Saudi Arabia; and Anjum Hotel, Makkah. Most recently, he served with ITC Welcome Hotels Palm Beach, Chennai, where he played a key role in streamlining financial operations and driving profitability.

A postgraduate in finance from Madurai Kamaraj University, Hameed is deeply passionate about both his profession and personal pursuits. When away from work, he enjoys playing cricket and tennis and keeps himself updated through newspapers and magazines. He is married to Jannathul Pirdouse, and together they have two sons and a daughter.
