Photo exhibition highlights women across departments
“She Is Hospitality” showcases the personal stories, skills and experiences of women who contribute to the resort’s operations, from guest services and spa operations to engineering, security and culinary support.
Through the exhibition, the resort aims to recognise how these individuals shape guest experiences and help maintain operational excellence across the property.

Diving and wellness leadership at the resort
At the Diving Centre, Manager Danijela Podlipec leads guest diving experiences, guiding visitors exploring the marine environment around the Maldives.
Within the resort’s spa operations, Assistant Spa Manager Anna Vargas, who has spent 18 years working in the Maldives, supports training and mentoring for spa therapists while maintaining wellness service standards for guests.
Technical and security roles led by women
Within the resort’s operational infrastructure, Engineering Coordinator Ofimaria Deliva oversees technical coordination responsibilities after transitioning into engineering from a background in finance.
Meanwhile, Security Officer Rabina Shrestha works within the resort’s security team, contributing to safety operations in a traditionally male-dominated field.

Guest service roles across the resort
Several team members featured in the exhibition work directly in guest-facing roles.
Mia Sumiati, a Kitchen Attendant, supports morning breakfast operations, while Fathimath Afaa from the Front Office team welcomes guests and manages arrival experiences.
In the resort’s butler services, Ameni Dahmene, who has worked as a butler for nine years, assists guests during their stay while drawing on her multicultural background.
Team members supporting family and workplace experiences
The exhibition also highlights contributions from staff members working in guest recreation and team support roles.
Nancy Castano, Kids Club Supervisor, works with younger guests through activity programmes, while Lyrio May, Human Resources Executive, contributes to team engagement and workplace initiatives within the resort.
Within the reservations department, Radhika Sabharwal supports guests planning their travel experiences and bookings.
Celebrating women shaping hospitality culture
Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, part of the Luxury Collection of Sun Siyam Resorts, describes the exhibition as a way to recognise women across departments who contribute to the resort’s culture and guest experiences.
Through the “She Is Hospitality” initiative, the resort highlights how women across different professional roles help shape the environment, service culture and operational foundation of the property.
