    Nyotel Launches Midscale Hospitality Brand

Nyotel, a unit of NLR Hospitality Private Limited, has officially commenced hospitality operations, marking its entry into India’s organised midscale hotel segment.

Headquartered in Bhopal, the brand is positioned as a business-focused hospitality offering catering to both corporate and leisure travellers under its brand promise, “Stay Beyond Ordinary.”

This project reinforces Nyotel’s growth within hospitality developments.

Entry into India’s Organised Midscale Segment

Nyotel’s launch reflects growing opportunities within India’s midscale hospitality market, particularly across tier-2 and tier-3 cities where demand for professionally managed hotels continues to increase.

The company aims to position itself between standalone hotels with inconsistent standards and large-format branded chains that may not always be commercially feasible in emerging markets.

    Leadership Driving the Launch

The launch is being led by Anurag Anand, Chief Operating Officer, Nyotel, and Harsh Vaidya, Chief Business Officer, Nyotel.

Together, they bring nearly 36 years of combined experience across hospitality and retail sectors in India and overseas markets.

    Operational Focus and Market Opportunity

Commenting on the launch, Anurag Anand, Chief Operating Officer, Nyotel, said,

“Over the years, working closely with hotels across multiple formats, I observed a consistent gap in tier-2 and tier-3 cities—properties with strong intent and demand but lacking structured operations, revenue optimization, and a consistent guest experience. Nyotel has been built to bring professional hospitality systems to these markets while keeping pricing practical and relevant for business and domestic travellers. Our promise is simple—to help guests truly ‘stay beyond ordinary.’”

Focus on Affordable and Reliable Hospitality

Adding to this, Harsh Vaidya, Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer, Nyotel, said,

“My experience across hospitality and retail, both in India and overseas, highlighted how emerging markets respond strongly to brands that combine affordability with reliability. Nyotel is focused on creating that balance—where guests receive quality accommodation and food without the cost burden associated with large-format brands, while ensuring experiences that are dependable, thoughtful, and beyond the ordinary.”

Addressing the Gap in Emerging Markets

Nyotel’s business model focuses on introducing professionally managed hospitality systems into emerging urban and pilgrimage markets. The company plans to combine operational discipline with local market understanding to create regionally relevant hospitality experiences.

The approach is designed to support both guest expectations and property owner requirements.

    Expansion Strategy Across Central India

The company has outlined a phased expansion strategy focused on tier-2 and tier-3 cities across Central India. Over the next few years, Nyotel plans to add at least five operational properties annually for the next two years.

The brand aims to build a network of 30 hotels by 2031, supported by an inventory target of 800–1,000 rooms.

    Target Markets and Growth Plans

Nyotel’s expansion roadmap includes markets such as Indore, Ujjain, Omkareshwar, Jabalpur, Nagpur, Raipur, Gwalior, Jhansi, and Agra, alongside other emerging business and pilgrimage destinations.

The company estimates that its planned inventory could generate approximately 2–2.5 lakh room nights annually.

    Partnership-Led Growth Model

The expansion strategy is partnership-led, with an emphasis on sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation for stakeholders and property owners.

This model supports faster market penetration while maintaining operational consistency across properties.

    Positioning Within India’s Hospitality Landscape

As domestic travel continues to grow beyond metropolitan centres, organised hospitality brands are increasingly targeting emerging cities. Nyotel’s positioning reflects this broader industry trend toward regional expansion and midscale accommodation growth.

    Outlook

With its focus on affordability, operational consistency, and regional relevance, Nyotel aims to establish itself within India’s evolving midscale hospitality sector.
