Minimalist Hotels has announced the opening of a 22-key lifestyle property in Varanasi, expanding its presence in one of India’s most culturally significant travel destinations. The launch marks Minimalist Hotels’ third property in Varanasi, reflecting the city’s growing tourism demand and increasing appeal among modern travellers.

Located at Raman Niwas, B38/46 A, Rathyatra–Mahmoorganj Road, Mahmoorganj, Varanasi, the property has been designed to combine contemporary minimalism with the cultural character of the city.

The newly launched hotel is positioned as a design-focused lifestyle stay for new-age travellers, offering a combination of modern hospitality features and curated experiences.

The 22-room property features design-forward rooms created around clean architectural lines, neutral colour palettes and locally inspired textures. The interiors reflect the contrast that defines Varanasi, balancing the city’s spiritual heritage with a contemporary hospitality aesthetic.

The hotel aims to provide a stay experience that connects modern travellers with the cultural energy of the destination.

Designed for modern travellers and digital nomads

Minimalist Hotels has designed the property to cater to a wide mix of travellers including digital nomads, cultural explorers, business visitors and weekend travellers.

The hotel offers high-speed Wi-Fi, dedicated workspaces, pet-friendly accommodation, complimentary breakfast and modern in-room amenities, ensuring functionality alongside design.

These features align with the brand’s positioning as a lifestyle hospitality concept that emphasises community engagement and flexible stay experiences.

Rooftop restaurant and social gathering space

The property’s central social venue is CABAMI, a rooftop restaurant and bar designed as an all-day dining space overlooking the city.

CABAMI brings together community programming, live music evenings and a globally inspired menu, offering Mediterranean, Italian, Japanese and Pan-Asian cuisine alongside select Indian flavours.

The rooftop space is intended to serve as a relaxed social environment for both hotel guests and local visitors.

Curated experiences connecting guests with Varanasi

Guests staying at the property can participate in a range of curated cultural experiences across Varanasi.

These experiences include heritage walks, Banarasi silk weaving tours, sunrise and sunset boat rides on the Ganges, guided Ganga Aarti viewings and excursions to Sarnath, allowing travellers to explore the city’s cultural landscape in a structured and immersive way.

Commenting on the launch, Gautam Munjal, Founder, Minimalist Hotels, said:

“With Varanasi, we wanted to create a space that respects the city’s heritage while offering a fresh, modern stay experience. Minimalist Hotels is about community, culture, and curated living, and this launch reflects that evolution.”

With this launch, Minimalist Hotels continues to expand its portfolio in culturally significant leisure destinations while focusing on design-led hospitality experiences for contemporary travellers.
