\LAY Beach Club in Pattaya, Thailand is preparing to celebrate its first anniversary with a Spanish-themed culinary event titled “Sabores del Mar” (Flavours of the Sea). The celebration will take place on Saturday, March 14 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the beachfront venue located on Beach Road along the Gulf of Thailand’s east coast.
The anniversary event will feature Spanish tapas, Mediterranean dishes and live culinary stations, alongside entertainment and sunset celebrations overlooking Pattaya’s shoreline.
Anniversary celebration planned with Spanish culinary showcase
The event will bring together three chefs from Meliá Hotels, who will curate a menu inspired by Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine.
The participating chefs include:
- William Stringfellow from Meliá Pattaya Hotel,
- Juan Ignacio “Nacho” García Racionero from INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit, and
- Lluis Cantons from Meliá Koh Samui.
Guests will be welcomed with sunset sangria and canapés, followed by a series of dishes served at live stations.
The menu will include patatas bravas (spicy potatoes), paella de marisco (seafood paella), gambas al ajillo (Spanish garlic shrimp) and fideua capellini (Spanish angel hair pasta). These will be paired with Spanish sparkling wines, white wines and red wines.

Entertainment and themed atmosphere
The evening will also feature a 20-minute fire show, designed with choreographed tricks and performance elements.
Guests attending the celebration are encouraged to follow the event’s dress theme described as “blue and white sunset chic.”

Hospitality community expected to attend
The celebration will bring together local hospitality leaders, members of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, regular diners and guests staying at Meliá Pattaya Hotel.
The event will be open to the public, with tickets priced at THB 999 per person, which includes buffet food stations and free-flow beverages.
The beverage programme will be supported by Tres Monos, IWS Independent Wine and Spirit, Blackbird, B-delicious and Italasia.
Beach club facilities and design
LAY Beach Club features several distinctive spaces including the “hydro bar,” a cocktail pool where the water visually merges with the ocean. The area includes submerged loungers, white sand surroundings, circular sofas and cabanas.
The venue also includes a lounge and bar area with capacity for approximately 250 guests.
Above this space sits a rooftop lounge, which can accommodate more than 100 seated guests or up to 300 guests for cocktail events, offering panoramic views of the Gulf of Thailand.

LAY Beach Club operates daily from 11:00 am until midnight and hosts a variety of dining experiences and private events.
