    Keys Select Amritsar Opens

Lemon Tree Hotels Limited has announced the opening of Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels Amritsar, strengthening its presence in North India and expanding its footprint in one of the country’s major pilgrimage and leisure destinations.

The opening reflects the company’s continued focus on expanding branded hospitality offerings across culturally significant and high-demand domestic travel markets.

The addition aligns with Lemon Tree’s ongoing expansion within latest hotel openings.

Expansion in Spiritual and Leisure Markets

The launch of Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Amritsar marks another step in Lemon Tree Hotels’ expansion strategy focused on high-potential spiritual, cultural, and leisure destinations across India.

Amritsar remains one of India’s most significant religious tourism markets, drawing millions of domestic and international visitors annually due to its spiritual, cultural, and historical importance.

The city’s hospitality demand continues to be driven by pilgrimage travel, leisure tourism, family visits, and short-stay domestic travel, making it a strategically important market for branded hotel operators.

This opening further strengthens Lemon Tree Hotels’ North India hospitality portfolio.

    Leadership Perspective

Commenting on the opening, Vishvapreet Singh Cheema, President, Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd., said,

“The launch of Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Amritsar, reflects our continued focus on bringing branded, reliable hospitality to India’s spiritual and leisure destinations. Located in close proximity to the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh, and offering contemporary offerings, the hotel is well positioned to cater to the city’s growing tourism and pilgrimage demand, while further strengthening our presence in North India.”

    Prime Location in Amritsar

The hotel is located in the heart of Amritsar, providing direct access to some of the city’s most important tourist and pilgrimage landmarks.

Both the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh are within walking distance of the property, positioning the hotel strongly for pilgrimage and leisure travellers.

Location remains a critical factor in hospitality performance within religious tourism markets, where convenience and accessibility directly influence booking decisions.

The property also benefits from transport connectivity, being located approximately 2.5 kilometres from Amritsar Railway Station and 13 kilometres from Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport.

    Accommodation and Guest Facilities

Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Amritsar features 50 guest rooms designed to cater to short-stay leisure and pilgrimage travellers seeking contemporary hospitality experiences.

The room inventory aligns with the hotel’s positioning within the midscale branded hospitality segment.

Guest facilities include Keys Café, the property’s all-day dining restaurant serving Indian and international cuisine, along with in-room dining services.

The hotel also includes a boardroom for small meetings and business requirements, along with a fitness centre for guest recreation.

This mix of facilities reflects the evolving expectations of travellers seeking convenience-led branded stays.

    Meeting Growing Tourism Demand

Amritsar continues to witness strong hospitality demand due to its significance as a spiritual tourism destination, alongside increasing leisure travel interest.

The city’s mix of heritage tourism, religious travel, culinary tourism, and historical attractions has contributed to sustained accommodation demand across hotel categories.

Branded hospitality operators continue to see growth opportunities in such markets where consumer preference increasingly favours organised accommodation options.

    Strengthening Lemon Tree’s Regional Presence

The opening adds to Lemon Tree Hotels’ broader North India portfolio and reflects the company’s continued domestic expansion strategy.

The company has increasingly focused on secondary and high-demand domestic travel markets where organised hospitality penetration continues to grow.

Midscale hospitality brands remain particularly well positioned in destinations balancing volume travel demand with value-conscious guest preferences.

    Outlook

With its central location, proximity to major landmarks, and focus on organised midscale hospitality, Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Amritsar is positioned to cater to the city’s growing pilgrimage and leisure travel demand.
