Tmt. J. Innocent Divya, IAS, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Tourism, Tamil Nadu, and Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC). The appointment places her in charge of the state’s tourism policy, destination development, and the operational management of TTDC.
The leadership change comes as Tamil Nadu continues to strengthen its tourism positioning across heritage, culture, spiritual circuits, and emerging travel segments.
Administrative Background And Professional Profile
J. Innocent Divya is a 2009-batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre. Prior to this role, she was serving as the Commissioner of Technical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu.
Her administrative career includes experience in policy execution, departmental management, and institutional governance, equipping her to lead a multi-stakeholder sector such as tourism.

Mandate At Tourism Department And TTDC
In her new role, she will oversee the functioning of the Tourism Department and TTDC, with responsibility for strategic planning, tourism promotion, destination development, and operational performance of the state-run tourism corporation.
She will also work closely with tourism stakeholders to strengthen Tamil Nadu’s visibility and enhance visitor experience across the state.
