IHCL strengthens airport portfolio with 200-key Ginger Mumbai Airport T2

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, has announced the signing of a new Ginger hotel at Terminal 2 of Mumbai International Airport. The signing adds to Ginger’s growing airport-led expansion and gives the brand a presence at both terminals of one of the country’s busiest aviation hubs.

Strategic location at a high-traffic gateway

Mumbai International Airport continues to see rising passenger volumes, and Terminal 2 remains a critical gateway for both domestic and international travellers. The new Ginger Mumbai Airport T2 is being developed as part of a mixed-use project combining retail, commercial and hospitality components, aimed at offering guests convenience and ease of access.

Ms. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said,

“Mumbai International Airport stands as one of India’s busiest gateways, and the growing passenger traffic at Terminal 2 underscores the rising demand for hospitality across all segments. The signing of this new hotel gives the brand a dual presence at both terminals. With Ginger’s footprint across airports of Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, MOPA Goa and its proximity to the airports in cities of Nagpur and Coimbatore, the brand continues to reinforce its position in India’s most vital transit hubs. We are pleased to partner with Hazoor Multiprojects for this landmark development.”

    Hotel features and positioning

The 200-key Ginger Mumbai Airport T2 will be designed to serve business and leisure travellers looking for smart, efficient stays close to the airport. The hotel will feature Qmin, Ginger’s signature all-day dining restaurant, a bar, meeting rooms and a fully equipped fitness centre. The positioning focuses on short-stay convenience, reliable service and functional comfort for transit guests.

    Partnership with Hazoor Multiprojects

The project is being developed in partnership with Hazoor Multiprojects Private Limited.

Ms. Tunviey Mopalwar, Hazoor Multiprojects Private Limited (HMPL), said,

“We are happy to partner with IHCL for this project and enhance the hospitality offerings in this prime location.”

    Expanding IHCL’s Mumbai presence

With this signing, IHCL will operate 14 hotels in Mumbai city, including two under development. The addition supports the company’s long-term focus on airport hotels and strengthens Ginger’s positioning across major transit markets in India.

    About the owning company

Hazoor Multi Projects Limited (HMPL) is a Mumbai-based company with a strong presence in infrastructure development and real estate across India. The company has executed large-scale projects, including expressway developments that have improved connectivity across Maharashtra and strengthened regional infrastructure.
