Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport has promoted Ataullah Shaikh to the position of Director of Engineering, recognising his leadership in engineering operations, asset management, and sustainability initiatives at the hotel.
Previously serving as Head of Engineering, Ataullah takes on the expanded leadership role after making significant contributions to operational excellence and infrastructure management.
The addition aligns with the hospitality sector’s focus on leadership, contributing to leadership appointments in hospitality.Over Two Decades of Hospitality Experience
With more than 21 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Ataullah has built an extensive career across leading hospitality brands including Novotel Juhu, Sofitel Mumbai, Sofitel Bahrain, Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa Dubai, InterContinental The Lalit Mumbai, Renaissance Mumbai Hotel & Convention Centre, and SILA Facility Management, where he served as Assistant General Manager – Technical Operations.
Driving Engineering Excellence
Since joining Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport, Ataullah has played a key role in strengthening engineering operations through preventive maintenance programmes, energy efficiency initiatives, infrastructure management, and the hotel’s ongoing refurbishment project.
His contributions to operational excellence were recognised with the Leader of the Year 2024 award at the hotel.
