ECKO Hotels & Resorts has appointed Amrit Mukhopadhyay as its Area General Manager, the company said Tuesday. The appointment aligns with the brand’s ambition to scale its footprint across India with leadership capable of overseeing operations, revenue and guest satisfaction in multiple properties.
Mukhopadhyay brings more than 18 years of experience in the hospitality sector to his new role. His career includes leadership positions at The Fern Hotels & Resorts, Royal Orchid Hotels and Clarks Inn, as well as oversight of hotel pre opening projects, budgeting, revenue management, sales and marketing. He has more than a decade of experience as head of departments and spent two and a half years as a hotel unit head, guiding teams to elevate operational performance and guest experience.
Perkin Rocha, founder and chief executive officer of ECKO Hotels & Resorts, said Mukhopadhyay’s “vast experience and proven leadership will be vital as we expand and redefine hospitality across our destinations.” Rocha added that the new appointee would help boost market presence, operational standards and guest satisfaction.
In his new role, Mukhopadhyay will oversee multiple hotels, driving strategic initiatives in revenue and marketing as well as implementing service standards and operational efficiencies. He will also support expansion plans, including ongoing pre opening and branding activities .
ECKO Hotels & Resorts is a new age hospitality brand known for its minimalistic design approach and strong emphasis on community centred wellness experiences. The group now operates properties in Uttarakhand with more locations in development.
