Comenda Ali Group SRL, a global leader in professional warewashing solutions, has appointed Pallavi Verma as its new Country Head for India, the company said in a statement.
In her newly created role, Verma will lead business development, market expansion, and customer engagement initiatives across India. The move reflects Comenda’s ambition to strengthen its presence in the fast-growing commercial kitchen equipment market.
Verma joins Comenda with over two decades of experience in sales, marketing, and executive leadership roles. While her detailed background was not disclosed, corporate communications describe her as bringing deep industry knowledge and a strong network across foodservice and hospitality segments.
Comenda Ali Group, part of the Italian Ali Group, has supplied its warewashing technology to more than 100 countries. The company is known for modular and energy‑efficient industrial dishwashers, glasswashers, tunnel washers, heat-recovery systems, and hood-type machines designed for high hygiene standards.
In a LinkedIn announcement, Comenda’s India arm said Verma’s appointment signals “new leadership to strengthen Comenda’s India strategy and growth”. The country head role is expected to include coordination with existing distribution partners, development of new client segments, and implementation of local marketing strategies.
Industry analysts said the move highlights Comenda’s focus on localizing operations in key markets. India’s commercial kitchen sector is poised for steady growth, driven by expansion in QSRs (quick-service restaurants), hotels, healthcare and institutional catering. A local head is likely to improve client support, after-sales service, and customization for user-specific wash needs.
Comenda operates in more than 100 countries through an extensive distribution network. The company’s factory in Cassina de’ Pecchi, Milan, manufactures under ISO 9001 quality and ISO 14001 environmental management systems. Verma will also represent the company’s commitment to sustainability and energy-efficient product adoption in India.
Comenda has been showcasing innovations in India, including presentation of its new Equilybra range at the 2025 HORECA Expo in Turin and product demonstrations in collaboration with Indian partners.
Verma’s experience in driving sales and partnerships is expected to reinforce Comenda’s positioning in India’s competitive warewashing segment. Comenda has said it aims to expand its market share in India through deeper partnerships, customer education, and product innovation tailored to local needs.
As Country Head—India, Verma will be based in Mumbai and work closely with regional distributors and service teams to boost Comenda’s penetration in commercial kitchens, while aligning with global goals for digitalization and environmental responsibility.
