Delta Air Lines has announced the appointment of Amala Duggirala as its new Chief Digital & Technology Officer, effective January 12, 2026. The appointment follows the retirement of Rahul Samant, who steps down after a decade of service as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer.

In this newly expanded role, Amala Duggirala will lead all digital and technology functions across Delta Air Lines. She will report directly to Ed Bastian, Chief Executive Officer, and will serve as a member of the Delta Leadership Committee. Her career also includes senior technology leadership roles at Regions Bank and ACI Worldwide, where she worked across financial services and payments technology environments.
